§ 14132.81

Statute text

(a)The purchase of identification bracelets for eligible recipients under the Medi-Cal program who have Alzheimer’s Disease or some other cognitive defect, or medication allergies that could be life threatening, shall be a covered benefit under this chapter.

(b)The bracelets shall be purchased from an organization which maintains a 24-hour toll-free telephone number for emergency or medical personnel to make inquiries.

(c)The director shall develop regulations to implement this section.
