View on leginfo.ca.gov(a)The department may collect fees, rents, and other returns for the use of any state park system area, the amounts to be determined by the department. The department may accept a credit card as a method of payment for fees collected through the department’s reservation system. Any contract executed by the department with credit card issuers or draft purchasers shall be consistent with Section 6159 of the Government Code. Notwithstanding Title 1.3 (commencing with Section 1747) of Part 4 of Division 3 of the Civil Code, the department may impose a surcharge in an amount to cover the cost of providing the reservation service, including reimbursement for any fee or discount charged by the credit card issuer.
(b)All revenues received by the department during each fiscal year shall be paid into the State Treasury to the credit of the State Parks and Recreation Fund, which is hereby created.
(c)Notwithstanding subdivision (b), all revenues received by the department from the state vehicular recreation areas shall be paid into the State Treasury to the credit of the Off-Highway Vehicle Trust Fund, as required by Section 38225 of the Vehicle Code.
