View on leginfo.ca.govIn order to provide a supply of controlled substances as may be necessary to handle emergency cases, any hospital which does not employ a resident pharmacist and which is under the supervision of a licensed physician, may purchase controlled substances on federal order forms for such institution, under the name of such hospital, such supply to be made available to a registered nurse for administration to patients in emergency cases, upon direction of a licensed physician.
