Statute text

(a)The Superintendent of Public Instruction shall award nonmonetary Teresa P. Hughes Family-School Partnership Awards pursuant to this article to school districts and county offices of education for schools that operate outstanding family-school partnership programs.

(b)Nonmonetary awards made pursuant to this section shall be based upon the degree of parent participation and an assessment of any combination of the following types of parental participation:

(1)The membership or other participation in a functioning schoolsite council or other parent organization.
