§ 46201.5

(a)For a county office of education that operates a special day class or special day classes pursuant to Section 56364.2 and that reduces the amount of instructional time offered below the minimum amounts specified in subdivision (b), the Superintendent shall withhold from the county superintendent of schools’ county local control funding formula entitlement computed pursuant to either subdivision (e) of Section 2574 or subdivision (a) of Section 2575, as determined pursuant to subdivision (g) of Section 2575, the amount computed pursuant to subdivision (c).

(b)Commencing with the 2013–14 fiscal year, a county office of education shall, at a minimum, offer the following amount of instructional time:

(1)Thirty-six thousand minutes in kindergarten.
