View on leginfo.ca.govWith respect to residential real property containing no more than four dwelling units, a mortgagee, beneficiary, or authorized agent shall provide to the mortgagor or trustor, before the mortgagor or trustor signs the mortgage or deed of trust, a written disclosure that a third party, such as a family member, HUD-certified housing counselor, or attorney, may record a request to receive copies of any notice of default and notice of sale. A request for notice under this section shall comply with Section 2924b.
