View on leginfo.ca.govNo fighter shall be paid before a contest, except that a promoter may, with the written approval of the commission, advance to the fighter before the contest, up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) plus any necessary transportation and living expenses. However, such advance, except necessary transportation and living expenses, shall not exceed 20 percent of the fighter’s purse.
