Defendant Maurice Bray is serving a term of 23 years and four months, plus 125
years to life, after a jury convicted him of multiple counts stemming from an armed bank
robbery. Defendant appeals from the trial court’s order denying his motion to recall his

sentence under the Three Strikes Reform Act of 2012, also known as Proposition 36.
(Pen. Code, § 1170.126).1 As discussed below, we affirm.
On March 11, 1998, defendant and two accomplices donned masks and robbed a
