On August 2, 2024, Michael Tong Shun Zhang pleaded guilty to one count of murder and was sentenced to prison for 25 years to life. Zhang’s counsel filed a notice of appeal, and the trial court granted his request for a 1 certificate of probable cause. (Pen. Code, § 1237.5, subd. (b).) Appointed appellate counsel filed an opening brief summarizing the facts, but raising no arguable issues. (See People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436 (Wende); Anders v. California (1967) 386 U.S. 738 (Anders).) Zhang did not file a supplemental brief on his own behalf. This court has independently reviewed the record. We agree with appointed counsel and find no arguable issues. Thus, we affirm the judgment.
