Jefferson ORDER RE: CASE MANAGEMENT The Court has ordered the following after review of the case. The Court makes the following ORDER after review of the case including any timely filed CMC Statements, without a conference: ACCORDING TO THE PROOF of SERVICE ON FILE, DEFENDANT APPEARS TO BE IN DEFAULT.
If so, Plaintiff must comply with CRC 3.110(g) and (h) before next CMC Statement is due. CRC 3.110 (g) provides: Request for entry of default- If a responsive pleading is not served within the time limits specified in this rule and no extension of time has been granted, the plaintiff must file a request for entry of default within 10 days after the time for service has elapsed. The court may issue an order to show cause why sanctions should not be imposed if the plaintiff fails to timely file the request for the entry of default.
CRC 3.110(h) provides: When a default is entered, the party who requested the entry of default must obtain a default judgment against the defaulting party within 45 days after the default was entered, unless the court has granted an extension of time. The court may issue an order to show cause why sanctions should not be imposed if that party fails to obtain entry of judgment against a defaulting party or to request an extension of time to apply for a default judgment within that time. Case Management Conference Status of default and or answer is scheduled for 08/18/2026 at 10:10 AM in Department 520 at Hayward Hall of Justice. Clerk is directed to serve copies of this order, with proof of service, to counsel and to selfrepresented parties of record. The Court orders counsel to obtain a copy of this order from the eCourt portal.
