TENTATIVE RULING:
Plaintiff Kyle Moores (Plaintiff) request for entry of court judgment against Defendant Abounding Love, LLC and Julie Nonu is DROPPED from calendar.
Plaintiff filed a single document entitled Request for Judicial Notice in Support of Plaintiffs Request for Entry of Court Judgment at Prove Up Hearing Against Defendants Abounding Love and Julie Nonu as well as a separate Notices of Entry of Judgment for each defendant. Rather than giving notice of the entry of default judgment, the notices appear to give notice that Plaintiff intends to request default judgments at a prove up hearing.
The notices incorrectly indicate the matters will be heard in Department 53 located at 720 9th Street, Sacramento, California. At the time the notices were filed on May 6, 2026, the Court had already relocated its operations to the Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye Sacramento Superior Courthouse. The correct address for this hearing is Department 16D located at 500 G Street, Sacramento, California.
The request for entry of court judgment is not properly before the Court at this time. A noticed hearing is not the proper method for requesting default judgment. In furtherance of its power to control its calendar, the Court processes requests for default judgment through the Court's Default Judgment Unit, pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 585 and California Rules of Court, Rule 3.1800.
In seeking default judgment, a plaintiff must submit a default prove up package to the Default
