Defendants Horn Barbecue Broadway LLC, Horn Barbecue Mandela LLC, Horn Barbecue Peralta LLC, Horn Barbecue SF LLC, Horn Barbecue Cedar LLC appear to be a limited liability companies. An entity company must be represented by an attorney. CLD Construction, Inc. v. City of San Ramon (2004) 120 Cal.App.4th 1141, 1149-1150, holds that a pleading filed by an unrepresented corporation is not necessarily void or a nullity, but the Court should order the party to obtain counsel or, if not, it can strike its pleading. Entity Defendants are advised that they cannot appear without counsel.
Counsel shall notify Defendants, and Matthew Horn, in particular, that his personal appearance (in person or by Zoom) at the hearing is required. Counsel shall be prepared to provide proof that such notice was provided to Defendants.
