NOTICE:
Consistent with Local Rule 1.06(B), any party requesting oral argument on any matter on this calendar must comply with the following procedure:
To request limited oral argument, on any matter on this calendar, you must call the Law and Motion Oral Argument Request Line at (916) 874-2615 by 4:00 p.m. the Court day before the hearing and advise opposing counsel. At the time of requesting oral argument, the requesting party shall leave a voice mail message: a) identifying themselves as the party requesting oral argument; b) indicating the specific matter/motion for which they are requesting oral argument; and c) confirming that it has notified the opposing party of its intention to appear and that opposing party may appear via Zoom using the Zoom link and Meeting ID indicated below. If no request for oral argument is made, the tentative ruling becomes the final order of the Court.
Unless ordered to appear in person by the Court, parties may appear remotely either telephonically or by video conference via the Zoom video/audio conference platform with notice to the Court and all other parties in accordance with Code of Civil Procedure §367.75. Although remote participation is not required, the Court will presume all parties are appearing remotely for non-evidentiary civil hearings.

Parties requesting services of a court reporter will need to arrange for private court reporter services at their own expense, pursuant to Government code §68086 and California Rules of Court, Rule 2.956. A Stipulation and Appointment of Official Reporter Pro Tempore (CV/E-206) is required to be signed by each party, the private court reporter, and the Judge prior to the hearing, if not using a reporter from the Courts Approved Official Reporter Pro Tempore list.
Once the form is signed it must be filed with the clerk. If a litigant has been granted a fee waiver and requests a court reporter, the party must submit a Request for Court Reporter by a Party with

TENTATIVE RULING:
Plaintiff Griffin Burkes (Plaintiff) motion for an order compelling Defendant Pacific Modern Homes, Inc. (PMHI) to provide further responses to his Form Interrogatories, set one (FIs) is GRANTED IN PART, as follows.
This motion was continued from January 13, 2026, to allow the parties to fully meet and confer about the subject discovery.
The parties conducted additional meet and confer efforts from January 12, 2026, through January 27, 2026, and filed a joint declaration detailing their meet and confer efforts on February 2, 2026. Pertinent to this motion, the parties state that they have reached the following agreement as to PMHIs responses to the subject FIs:
13. The parties have reached complete or substantial agreement on the following Form Interrogatories. Plaintiff would like this reflected in the Order:
14. Questions 2.11, 4.1, and 4.2: PMHI has agreed to amend its responses from 'Not Applicable' to 'No.'
15. Questions 9.1 and 9.2: PMHI has agreed to provide further answers to these interrogatories with greater detail and specificity.
16. Questions 12.2 through 14.1: Plaintiff has agreed to withdraw its request to compel further responses to these interrogatories.
17. Question 12.1: PMHI has agreed to provide additional contact information for Chris Fellerson.

18. Question 15.1: PMHI has agreed to provide further responses with regard to the affirmative defenses that have been pleaded.
19. Purchase Contracts Language: Where Purchase Contracts are referenced in PMHIs responses, PMHI has agreed to provide further specificity indicating which particular contracts are referenced.
20. Unaware Language Modification: PMHI has agreed to amend language in its FROGS responses from Responding Party is unaware of any Documents at this time to state After a reasonable search and inquiry, Responding Party is unaware of any responsive Documents at this time.

In light of the above, the motion is GRANTED IN PART insofar as PMHI shall respond as agreed by the parties during their meet-and-confer sessions and as memorialized by their joint statement.
Under the circumstances, the parties respective requests for monetary sanctions are denied.
The minute order is effective immediately. No formal order pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 3.1312 or further notice is required.
