Ruling
Matter on the Law & Motion / Discovery calendar for Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Line 1. DEFENDANT ARTHUR LIU's DEMURRER to Amended COMPLAINT.
Before the Court is the Demurrer of Defendant Arthur Liu to the Second Amended Complaint ("SAC") filed by plaintiff You Liang Song on October 1, 2024 in this matter. Defendant also requests that the SAC be dismissed with prejudice. The Court has carefully reviewed the moving papers as well as a document entitled "Notice" filed by Plaintiff on June 2, 2025. The Court construes Plaintiff's June 2, 2025 filing as an Opposition to the Demurrer and to the Request For Dismissal.
Based on these filings and on the record as a whole, Defendant Arthur Liu's Demurrer to the SAC is SUSTAINED and the Motion to Dismiss the SAC is GRANTED. Defendant to lodge a proposed order consistent herewith.
