Matter on the LAW AND MOTION / DISCOVERY Calendar for Friday, Sep-11-2026. LINE 4. 1-DEFENDANTS RICK BELGARDE,AN INDIVIDUAL, KAREN KELLER, and CFO RICK INC.'s Motion For Interpleader Direction, Discharge Of Stakeholder And Reasonable Attorneys Fees.

Defendants and cross-complainant interpleaders CFO Rick Inc., Rick Belgarde, and Karen Keller (collectively CFO Rick) seek an order discharging them from this lawsuit and providing for their attorneys' fees from the amounts they have deposited with the court. The order is granted in part as stated herein.

Background: CFO Rick and plaintiff Butchershop Creative LLC settled the lawsuit on or about June 2025; the settlement agreement provided that CFO Rick would make monthly payments to Butchershop. The same month, Butchershop creditor Centerstone SBA Lending, Inc. (Centerstone) demanded that Butchershop deliver the settlement payments to Centerstone pursuant to its Notice of UCC Financing Statement. Centerstone also notified CFO Rick of its demand. Butchershop disputed the demand and demanded that CFO Rick continue to make settlement payments directly to Butchershop.

For the 9:00 a.m. calendar, all attorneys and parties may appear in Department 301 remotely or in person. Remote hearings will be conducted by videoconference using Zoom. The text of the email shall include the name and contact information, including email address, of the attorney or party who will appear at the hearing. If no party contests the tentative ruling, it will be adopted verbatim in a minute order.

The court no longer provides a court reporter in the Law & Motion or Discovery Department. Parties may retain their own reporter, who may appear in the courtroom or remotely.
