LARON SANDERS ET AL | Court Date: | | 2025-08-11 09:30 AM | Calendar Matter: | | Notice Of Motion And Motion For Order To Restrict Public Access To The Record Per California Rule Of Court 2.550(D) | Rulings: | | Real Property/Housing Court Motion calendar for August 11, 2025, line 1.
Plaintiff's Motion for Order to Restrict Public Access to the Record is DENIED. First, the motion is premature because Defendant need not vacate the unit until December 2025. Plaintiff warns of the consequences of an ejectment judgment, yet there is no judgment in this case. Second, Plaintiff does not explain how it is narrowly tailored to seal the entire record of a case. Finally, the Court cannot make the required factual findings under CRC 2.550 because the only declaration is from counsel, who does not lay the foundation for his assertions regarding tenant screenings, background checks, Defendant's economic opportunities, and more. =(501/CFH)
