Defendants Wise Automotive Management, Inc.; Wise Automotive, Inc.; Anthony A. Batarse, Inc. dba Hyundai of Vacaville; and Anthony A. Batarse Motors, Inc. (“Moving Defendants”) motion to compel arbitration and stay proceedings is CONTINUED on the Court’s own motion to September 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in this department to permit supplemental briefing.

On July 9, 2026, Moving Defendants filed a Notice of Supplemental Authority. Moving Defendants contend that certain identified “new authority” addresses and supplements their arguments related to substantive unconscionability and the application of the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”). (See Notice of Suppl. Authority, filed 7/9/26.) The Court will allow supplemental briefing from the Parties to address the authority identified by Moving Defendants in their Notice of Supplemental Authority.

Plaintiff’s supplemental brief shall be no more than 7 pages and shall be filed by no later than August 14, 2026.

Defendant’s supplemental brief shall be no more than 7 pages and shall be filed by no later than August 21, 2026.

No further briefing will be permitted unless leave of Court is first obtained.

This matter is STAYED in its entirety pending the resolution of this motion.
