Ruling

Matter on calendar for Friday, September 04, 2026, Line 4, PLAINTIFF JULIANA LOPES DEMASI's Motion To Compel Discovery.

2 - Plaintiff Juliana Lourenco Lopes Demasi's Motion To Compel Discovery is DENIED. Plaintiff fails to identify evidentiary and legal support for the relief that she seeks by this motion.

Plaintiff appears to seek an order "permit[ting] the investigation to continue." Plaintiff has failed to demonstrate a factual or legal basis for such an order. Plaintiff also appears to seek an order "not dismiss[ing] the litigation." Plaintiff has failed to demonstrate a factual or legal basis for such an order, particularly in the context of a discovery motion. Plaintiff also appears to seek an order "asking UCSF and it's [sic] labs and representatives to hand to the court their financial information, including bank statements, since 2018." Plaintiff has not demonstrated she made a proper discovery demand to this effect, let alone that any party improperly refused to comply with it.

The court notes that the record is devoid of material evidence that any defendant has been properly served with process in this action.

Plaintiff is ordered to prepare a proposed order which repeats verbatim the above text and email it to contestdept302tr@sftc.org prior to the time set for hearing.
