Ruling

(Spring Street Courthouse: Dept. 1) September 8, 2026 DEPARTMENT 1 LAW AND MOTION RULINGS

by Bibiyan Law Group to be relieved as counsel for plaintiff Jessyka Blessit Renay Walker in these three related cases, numbered 24STCV08457, 24STCV08462, and 24STCV23821. The three motions are largely in order, except that counsel has been unable to confirm that Plaintiff's address is current, and so has served her at her last known address by mail, with return receipt requested. The Court therefore must verify that the return receipts have been received before granting the motion. Assuming they have been, the Court will grant the motions.

The Court will set a further status conference for November 13, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. to determine if Plaintiff and/or Defendant have retained new counsel. The status conference date will be interlineated into counsel's proposed orders. The orders will not become effective until proof of service of the orders on the client are filed with this Court. Although both sides are now unrepresented, the Court will maintain the 9/9 status conference on calendar. If counsel has not received return receipts for service of the motions, the motions will be denied. Bibiyan Law Group to give notice.
