Petitioner Gurdev Singh’s (“petitioner”) request for judicial notice is GRANTED. (Evid. Code, §§ 452, subd. (d), 453.)

Petitioner’s petition for writ of mandate is DENIED. (Code Civ. Proc., §§ 1085, 1086; Corp. Code, §§ 1601-1603.) Corporations Code sections 1601 and 1602 grant corporate shareholders and directors the right to inspect and copy corporate books, records, and documents at the corporation’s principal office during normal business hours in person or by agent or attorney. (Corp. Code, §§ 1601, 1602; Jara v. Suprema Meats, Inc. (2004) 121 Cal.App.4th 1238, 1262- 1264.) The Court finds that petitioner fails to present evidence that respondent Amarjeet Sangha (“Sangha”) failed to comply with a proper inspection demand as required by Corporations Code sections 1601 and/or 1602. (Petition, ¶¶ 1-21; Miller Decl., ¶¶ 3-12, Exhs.

A-G; Jara, supra, 121 Cal.App.4th at p. 1262-1264.) The Court further finds that petitioner fails to present evidence that Sangha impeded petitioner’s right to inspect corporate books and records for respondent G & S Gasoline, Inc. (Ibid.)

If no hearing is requested, this tentative ruling is effective immediately. No formal order pursuant to California Rule of Court 3.1312, or further notice is required.
