6. Guardianship of Debra and Rita A. PP20140164 ANNUAL REVIEW

Letters of Guardianship of the person were issued on March 25, 2015. The annual guardianship status reports (Judicial Council for GC-251) were filed on by the guardian on March 16, 2026. Having read and considered the report for the April 15, 2026 hearing, the court had concerns about the minors’ progress in school and ordered the parties to appear to inquire further. No parties appeared, so the court referred the matter to Quest for an investigation under Probate Code Section 1513.2, subdivision (a) and continued the matter to May 13, 2026.

Quest filed its report on June 15, 2026, which the court has reviewed. The report recommends that an alternate placement be considered for the minors. At the July 29, 2026 hearing, the parties consented to the court reaching out to the local tribal court to see if the minors are members and might be eligible for services from the tribe. The court continued the matter to September 2, 2026.
