Ruling

24CV088459: GONZALEZ, AN INDIVIDUAL vs SHIVAM REAL ESTATE LLC, CALIFORNIA LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, et al. 08/28/2026 Hearing on Motion to be Relieved as Counsel filed by Derek Monte (Attorney) + CRS# 559032600095 in Department 24

Tentative Ruling - 08/27/2026 Rebekah Evenson

On the unopposed Motion by David Finkelsetin and Derek Monte of Finkelstein & Fujii LLP to be Relieved as Counsel for Defendant Shivam Real Estate LLC, PARTIES ARE TO APPEAR on Friday, August 28 at 9:30 a.m.

The Court would be inclined to grant this motion if, prior to the hearing, defense counsel were to file with the clerk’s office, and email directly to Department 24, a revised proposed order that indicates the address and telephone number of Defendant. (See proposed order, paragraph 6.)

The proposed order should also be modified to reflect that Department 24 is located at 1221 Oak Street in Oakland, not 1225 Fallon Street.

Department 24 is inviting you to a scheduled ZoomGov meeting

The Judicial Officer prefers all parties to be on camera, and for parties to log in using their full name (first and last). This can be tested before the hearing at https://zoom.us/test.
