The court orders Plaintiff's counsel to show cause why they should not be held in contempt or ordered to pay $500 in sanctions to the clerk of the court or both for violating the court's April 29, 2025 Order. Specifically, on April 29, 2025, the court ordered "Plaintiff's counsel to file a declaration re disposition of settlement proceeds and any other outstanding issues that may be discussed at the hearing no later than December 8, 2025, with courtesy copy provided to the department within 24 hours of filing." (4/29/2025 Order at p. 1.) Plaintiff's counsel did neither.
The OSC will be heard on March 4, 2026, at 9 am in this department. Plaintiff's counsel of record's personal appearance is required at the OSC hearing. Any response to the OSC must be filed no later than February 18, 2025, with courtesy copy provided to the department within 24 hours of filing.
The Settlement Compliance Hearing (PAGA Settlement) is continued to March 4, 2026, at 9 am in this department. Plaintiff's counsel must file a declaration re disposition of settlement proceeds and any other outstanding issues that may be discussed at the hearing no later than February 18, 2025, with courtesy copy provided to the department within 24 hours of filing.
Plaintiff is ordered to submit a proposed order that includes the above text no later than 8:30 am on December 18, 2025. Plaintiff shall send the proposed order by email to contestdept302tr@sftc.org.

The court no longer provides a court reporter in the Law & Motion Department. Parties may retain their own reporter, who may appear in the courtroom or remotely. A retained reporter must be a California certified court reporter (CSR), for only a CSR's transcript may be used in California courts.
