It is undisputed that Defendants ANJ Investments, LLC and Luho Ting have now served responses without objections to all six discovery motions on calendar today: Motions to Compel ANJ's Responses to Form Interrogatories, Set Two (#8050); Motion to Compel Discovery (CRS (#9689); Motion to Compel Responses to Production of Documents by ANJ (#1221); Motion to Compel Responses to Requests for Production Luho Ting (#4151); Motion to Deem Requests for Admissions Admitted, ANJ (#4120); and Motion to Deem Requests for Admissions admitted Luho Ting (#0787.) The only issue remaining includes sanctions.

ANJ

As to the Motions to Deem Requests for Admissions Admitted for ANJ, the Court awards the mandatory sanctions, but finds that amount requested unreasonable. As against ANJ Defendant and counsel, the Court awards 1 hour of time at counsel's hourly rate of $595/hour, plus the filing fee of $61. The motion was straightforward and no substantive opposition was filed. As to the other motions, the Court awards one hour of time for each motion, plus the filing fee, finding that the amount requested is unreasonable as these are straightforward motions. The Court awards sanctions against Defendant ANJ and its counsel of record jointly and severally in the total sum of $1,968 ($656 x 3).

Luho Ting

As to the Motions to Deem Requests for Admissions Admitted for Luho Ting, the Court awards the mandatory sanctions, but finds that amount requested unreasonable. As against Defendant Luho Ting and counsel, the Court awards 1 hour of time at counsel's hourly rate of $595/hour, plus the filing fee of $61. The motion was straightforward and no substantive opposition was filed. As to the other motion, the Court awards one hour of time for each motion, plus the filing fee, finding that the amount requested is unreasonable as these are straightforward motions. The Court awards sanctions against Defendant Luho Ting and its counsel of record jointly and severally in the total sum of $1,968 ($656 x 3).
