Ruling

2025PRCE046296: IN THE MATTER OF TERESA LABRUZZO 05/19/2026 in Department J6 Hearing re: Order to Show Cause OSC re Termination due to Death

Notice of the Conservatee’s Death filed February 10, 2026. Conservatee died on December 29, 2025. Copy of the Death Certificate attached. (Local Rule 10.03(E))

The conservatorship of the person terminates at conservatee’s death. (Probate Code §1860)

The court intends to approve the report of the conservators; waive the requirement for an inventory and appraisal because no inventory was filed prior to the conservatee's death; and waive the requirement for an accounting because there are no assets in the conservator's possession and control at the time of the conservatee's death.

The court orders the conservatorship of the estate terminated.

Any future hearing dates are off calendar.
