Ruling

Petitioner James William Ness and Respondents Nina Dedeker and Jeffrey Helm shall meet and confer regarding selection of a mutually acceptable mediator. The Court continues this matter for review on the status of mediation to October 12, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., in Department A, and continues to reserve jurisdiction over the pending motion. No later than two weeks prior to the continued hearing date, the parties shall submit a joint statement indicating the status regarding selection of a mediator. Should parties fail to agree on a mediator, each shall file a declaration setting forth no more than three (3) proposed mediators and a brief (no more than two sentences as to each proposed mediator) explanation as to why said mediator is desired.
