Re: In re: Julieta Tapia Avila Superior Court Case no. 26CU02128

Hearing Date: August 11, 2026 (Dept. 502)

Motion: Petition to Compromise Minor’s Claim

Tentative Ruling:

To deny without prejudice. Petitioner must file an amended petition, with appropriate supporting papers and proposed orders.

Explanation: The documentation required by item 6 has not been provided. Also, item 4 indicates Medi-Cal has agreed to reduce its lien, however no documentation of this has been provided. Last, petitioner did not sign the petition.

For the reasons set forth above, the petition is denied without prejudice.

Pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 3.1312(a), and Code of Civil Procedure section 1019.5, subdivision (a), no further written order is necessary. The minute order adopting this tentative ruling will serve as the order of the court and service by the clerk will constitute notice of the order.
