Ruling

5. Guardianship of Aleigha V. 22PR0013 ANNUAL STATUS REVIEW

Letters of Guardianship of the person were issued on March 2, 2022. The annual guardianship status report (Judicial Council form GC-251) was not filed by the guardian for the initial annual review nor the continued hearing on July 1, 2026. No parties appeared at the July 1, 2026 hearing, so the court ordered Quest to conduct another court investigation. Quest filed a request with the court for a continuance to have more time to complete the investigation. However, on August 10, 2026, the guardian filed an annual status report. Given the guardian filed a status report, the court vacates its order for Quest to do an investigation and directs the clerk to notify Quest that the order is vacated.

TENTATUVE RULING #5: THE COURT VACATES ITS ORDER FOR QUEST TO DO AN INVESTIGATION AND DIRECTS THE CLERK TO NOTIFY QUEST THAT THE ORDER IS VACATED. THE COURT FINDS THAT THE GUARDIANSHIP IS NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE AND SHALL CONTINUE. THE NEXT ANNUAL STATE REVIEW SHALL BE AT 1:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 18, 2027 IN DEPARTMENT 8.
