A Petition to Appoint a Guardian and Temporary Petition was filed on April 21, 2026. The court received and has reviewed the guardianship study conducted by Child Protective Services, which recommends approval of the petition. The court finds that notice has been given for the hearings for permanent and temporary guardianships to the minor’s parents via personal service and to the parents, maternal grandparents, maternal aunt, and paternal grandmother via mail service. The court dispensed with notice to the paternal grandfather as to the temporary guardianship at the May 6, 2026 hearing. Upon review of the declaration of due diligence, the court finds good cause to dispense with notice as to the paternal grandfather for the pending petition. The court finds that the guardianship is necessary and appropriate.
