3. 24PR0126 ESTATE OF JOHN WILLIAM CAMERON WILLIAMSON STATUS OF ADMINISTRATION

Letters Testamentary were issued on July 11, 2024. There is no Inventory and Appraisal on file with the court. Probate Code §8800 requires that the personal representative file an Inventory and Appraisal with the Court within 4 months from the issuance of letters.

On July 18, 2025, the Court filed an Order After Hearing which ordered Personal Representative, Karen Gayle Williamson, to appear at the next status hearing on July 6, 2026. The attorney for the Personal Representative was ordered to file executor’s next verified status report two weeks prior to the July 6, 2026 status hearing.

On June 18, 2026, a Verified Status Report of Administration was filed. Personal Representative provides the probate estate was opened for the sole purpose of pursuing a personal injury action against the Boy Scouts of America. It has been determined that decedent’s claim was disallowed and there are accordingly no assets in decedent’s estate which require an accounting.

The following orders are requested: 1. No accounting be required; and 2. Dismiss the action without prejudice and close the estate. Probate Code § 12251 provides that a personal representative may petition for the termination of further proceedings and for discharge of the personal representative if it appears there is no property of any kind belonging to the estate. Notice of the hearing on the petition must be provided to all interested persons.

The Court is not in receipt of a Petition for Termination of Proceedings and Discharge, Notice of Hearing, Waivers of Account, or Waivers of Notice. Personal Representative’s requests are denied. TENTATIVE RULING #3: PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE’S REQUESTS ARE DENIED. APPEARANCES ARE REQUIRED AT 8:30 A.M. ON MONDAY, JULY 6, 2026, IN DEPARTMENT NINE.

A STATUS OF ADMINISTRATION HEARING IS SET FOR 8:30 A.M. ON MONDAY, JULY 12, 2027, IN DEPARTMENT NINE. PETITIONER OR COUNSEL ARE ORDERED TO PERSONALLY APPEAR, OR FILE A STATUS UPDATE WITH THE COURT AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THAT HEARING.
