5. Guardianship of Deja H. 26PR0025 PETITION TO APPOINT GUARDIAN
A Petition to Appoint a Guardian and Temporary Petition was filed on February 10, 2026. Letters of Temporary Guardianship were issued on February 25, 2026. The court received the guardianship study conducted by Child Protective Services on March 27, 2026 which recommends that the petition be granted. At the hearing on April 8, 2026, the court noted that it had yet to receive the Department of Justice background results and that notice had not been given to the minor’s parents nor to one of the siblings of the minors. Upon review of the file, neither of these issues have been resolved since the last hearing.
