The motion of Defendant Capital Christian Center (Defendant) to continue trial is unopposed and GRANTED.
Moving Party failed to include the filing date and trial date below the case number as required by California Rules of Court, rule 3.1110(b).
Defendant requests a continuance in order to resolve a pending demurrer to the operative complaint and because additional time is needed to complete discovery and file motions. Although the motion is not supported by a stipulation, Plaintiffs Counsel indicated Plaintiffs would not oppose the motion and the parties agreed on a proposed trial date. (Berry Decl., ¶¶ 3- 5.)
The Court finds good cause for a continuance based on the foregoing and the factors set forth in California Rules of Court, rule 3.1332. The April 29, 2025 MSC and the May 27, 2025 trial dates are VACATED.
Trial is set for August 19, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 47. A mandatory settlement conference is set for July 3, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. in Department 59. All statutory deadlines, including discovery and expert discovery, shall be governed by the new trial date.

If a litigant has been granted a fee waiver and requests a court reporter, the party must submit a Request for Court Reporter by a Party with a Fee Waiver (CV/E-211) and it must be filed with the clerk at least 10 days prior to the hearing or at the time the proceeding is scheduled if less than 10 days away. Once approved, the clerk will be forward the form to the Court Reporters Office and an official reporter will be provided.
