Order to show cause re: dismissal pursuant to CCP 664.6(e)
August 3, 2026, Case Management Conference Tentative Rulings
1. CL0003562 Jefferson Capital Systems LLC vs. Anne Lucq Appearances are required. All parties shall show cause why this action should not be dismissed, without prejudice, and with retention of jurisdiction, pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 664.6(e), in light of the April 8, 2026, notice of conditional settlement.
2. CL0003673 Edmond M. Lucas v. Christina Collins No appearances are required. On its own motion, the Court continues the case management conference to November 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Department 6. Plaintiff shall file a proof of service, an application for service by publication (as appropriate), or a request for dismissal of Defendant Steven Roy no later than two weeks prior to the continued case management conference date.
3. CU0001949 Loma Rica Center, LLC vs. Hudson Excess Insurance Company, et al. No appearances are required. The orders to show cause are dismissed in the interest of justice. On the Court’s motion, the case management conference is continued to January 11, 2027, at 9:00 a.m., in Department 6, to permit completion of arbitration. The parties shall submit a joint statement indicating the status of arbitration two weeks prior to the next conference.
4. CU0002366 Alan Godlove, et al. vs. NV5, Inc., et al. Appearances are required. The Court is inclined to continue the case management conference to November 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Department 6, as the case is not yet at- issue. Cross-Defendant D M H Douglas Mower Homes shall clarify whether it shall or shall not file a demurrer. A date for the same apparently has been reserved.
