The February 20, 2026, proof of service of summons suggests that an individual at the Office of the Attorney General was personally served as an agent purportedly authorized to accept service of process for the Department of Transportation. An order to show cause is set for June 29, 2026 at 09:00, in Department 6, why the default entered April 23, 2026 should not be vacated as improvidently entered, and specifically, the basis upon which Plaintiff contends that the Office of the Attorney General is authorized to accept service for the Department of Transportation. The Clerk is directed to serve a copy of the order to show cause on Plaintiff, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Department of Transportation.
