Ruling

2023CUPA013217: ARGELIA CASANOVA, et al. vs JASTEN MARTINEZ BARRERA, et al. 07/23/2026 in Department 41 Motion to Consolidate

Motion: Defendants’ Motion to Consolidate Actions (Unopposed)

Defendants Jasten Martinez Barrera and Ines Martinez’s Motion to Consolidate Actions is GRANTED. For good cause shown there are good reasons to consolidate the two actions as they involve common questions of law and/or fact and consolidation will avoid inefficient duplication of effort and the possibility of inconsistent findings. Accordingly, this motion is granted. As such, Case Nos. 2023CUPA013217 and 2025CUPA054239 are consolidated for all purposes. Case No. 2023CUPA013217 is deemed the lead case. Order consolidating the actions to be filed in both cases. Counsel for Defendants to give notice of this Court’s ruling.
