NATURE OF PROCEEDINGS: REQUEST FOR ORDER – CHILD SUPPORT

This matter is before the Court on Respondent/Father’s April 01, 2026 Request for Order (RFO) for a modification to child support orders regarding the parties’ son, Jeancarlos (DOB: 09/21/2011). Petitioner/Mother was personally served, and she has not filed a response. The parties’ May 29, 2019 Dissolution Judgment ordered Father to pay $765 in child support. The matter was heard on June 9, 2026. Both parties were present in person and had a Spanish language interpreter. The Court set child support at zero effective April 1, 2026, referred the parties to the Legal Self Help Center for assistance with submitting the financial documents (as required by MCR Fam 7.13) by July 10, 2026, stated it would continue to utilize zero income for Mother unless the Court received additional information, and set the matter for further hearing.

Neither party submitted additional information.

The Court will use the following information to calculate guideline child support: • Zero income for Mother • Zero income for Father • 28% timeshare for Father.

Based on the foregoing information, child support is set at zero, effective April 1, 2026, and continuing until further court order, until the child marries, dies, is emancipated, reaches age 19, or reaches age 18 and is not a full-time high school student, whichever occurs first. As authorized by CRC Rule 5.125, the Court shall prepare the formal Findings and Order After Hearing.
