February 20, 2026 Case Management Conference Tentative Rulings
1. CL0001165 Victor Navarrete vs. Jennin Valentine Martinez, et al. No appearances are required. On its own motion, the Court continues the Case Management Conference (“CMC”) to April 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Department A, and sets an order to show cause hearing for the same date and time. Defendants JVM Landscape Construction and Jennin Martinez shall show cause why they should not be sanctioned $250 for failing to timely file a case management conference statement as previously ordered by this Court. The clerk shall provide notice of the order to show cause, and the Court orders counsel for Plaintiff to provide notice of the continued CMC.
2. CL0002886 The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC Vs. Race Rally Media, LLC, et al. No appearances are required. On its own motion, the Court continues this matter to March 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Department A. The Court also sets and Order to Show Cause for the same date and time for Plaintiff to show cause as to why this matter should not be dismissed and/or Plaintiff sanctioned $250.00 for failing to timely serve Defendant Lavecchia and/or for failing to timely file a Case Management Conference Statement.
3. CL0003110 Lexington Insurance Company vs. Zachary Bliss, et al. No appearances are required. This case is at issue. Jury fees are unpaid. A default prove up hearing as to claims against Defendant Eunice Bliss will be heard in conjunction with the trial. The Court notes Plaintiff indicates a busy trial schedule but provides no actual unavailable dates for trial, and Defendant has failed to file a case management conference statement which would alert the Court to unavailable dates. Accordingly, the Court sets a one (1) day court trial and related dates as follows:
Trial: January 7, 2027 at 9:00 a.m. each day, Dept. A PTC: December 15, 2026 at 1:30 p.m., Dept. A MSC: October 30, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., Dept. A (See, LR 4.02)
A pre-trial order shall issue. Unless a party objects to this tentative ruling, gives notice of said objection and appears at the Case Management Conference, parties are deemed to have waived notice of trial AND asserted they will waive conflict on the record at the MSC allowing the trial judge to conduct the MSC.
4. CU0000779 John Doe v. Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District, et al. No appearances are required. The case is at issue. The Court sets jury trial and related dates as follows:
Trial: April 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. each day, Dept. A PTC: March 12, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., Dept. A MSC: February 12, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., Dept. A (See, LR 4.02)
