Pitchess Motions
CASE NUMBER: 24CV-0204924 Tentative Ruling on Pitchess Motions: Defendant City of Redding filed Pitchess motions seeking records from Siskiyou County, Sonoma County, and Shasta County. The motion for Siskiyou County was granted on July 9, 2026 based on the receipt of a Non-Opposition. The motions for Sonoma County and Shasta County were granted at the hearings on July 6, 2026. In reviewing the minutes from the hearings on July 6, 2026, the Court notes that there is a clerical error. Today is scheduled to set the in-camera reviews, not conduct them.
For efficiency, the Court intends to set all three in-camera reviews for the same time. The Court can generally set aside time for such matters on Monday afternoons or Fridays and intends to set the in-camera reviews in the next three weeks. The parties are encouraged to check with their custodians regarding availability and be prepared to select a date at today’s hearing. In person appearances are not required. All parties may appear via WebEx using the instructions above.
