Effective January 5, 2026, Judge Charmaine H. Buehner and all cases previously assigned to Department J4 at the Juvenile Justice Center in Oxnard transferred to Department 44, located at the Hall of Justice, 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, California 93009.

Exhibit C to the Declaration of Bryan Jensen in support of Defendant’s motion is a letter in Spanish. Defendant has not provided an English translation of the letter, certified under oath by a qualified interpreter, as required by the Rules of Court. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 3.1110, subd. (g); see also Evid. Code, §§ 751, subd. (c), 753, subd. (a).) To the extent that Defendant wishes to correct this deficiency, Defendant shall timely file a supplemental briefing in compliance with the Rules of Court at least 20 court days prior to the continued hearing date, plus time for electronic service.

Plaintiff failed to file and serve a memorandum in opposition to the motion by the May 1, 2026, deadline, the Court will permit Plaintiff to file a brief in opposition to the motion and an amended responsive separate statement, if necessary. Such documents, if any, must be filed and served at least 10 court days before the continued hearing date. No reply may be filed.
