Procedural History 18 1) The parties are Petitioner Maria Jarquin (Mother) and Respondent Omar Pacheco (Father). The 19 minor child subject to this proceeding is Aidan Dominic Moreno (DOB: 03/23/15). 20 2) On March 24, 2026, Mother filed a Request for Order seeking a modification of custody and 21 visitation schedule. In particular, Mother is asking to be permitted to relocate the minor child to 22 South Korea, as her family has received a military assignment to South Korea. 23 3) On May 12, 2026, Father filed a Response to Mother’s RFO, which has been read and considered 24 by the Court. 25 4) On May 18, 2026, the parties were referred to Family Court Services for mediation with a return 26 court date of July 14, 2026. 27 5) On June 26, 2026, the parties attended FCS Mediation and were unable to reach any agreements. 28 B.
Findings and Order 29
1 1) This court has jurisdiction to make child custody orders in this case under the Uniform Child 2 Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act. A violation of this order may subject the party in 3 violation to civil or criminal penalties, or both. The country of habitual residence of the minor 4 child(ren) is the United States. 5 2) The parties are ordered to appear and shall be prepared to: (a) discuss their time estimate for 6 trial (i.e., number of days); and (b) inform the Court of the proposed number of witnesses they 7 intend to present. 8
