Ruling

CASE NUMBER: 25PC-0032990 This matter is on calendar to confirm filing of the Proof of Service of Notice of Conservatee’s Rights and Conservatorship Care Plan. This matter is also on calendar for hearing on an Order to Show Cause issued to the Conservators, Joe and Shari Babcock, for failure to timely file the proof of service of Notice of Conservatee’s Rights and Conservatorship Care Plan. Proof of service of the Notice of Conservatee’s Rights and Conservatorship Care Plan have not been filed.

No response to the Order to Show Cause has been filed. A Notice of Conservatee’s Death has been filed which indicates the Conservatee passed away on March 17, 2026. Considering the Conservatee has passed away, the Court will VACATE the Order to Show Cause and will not impose sanctions. This is a conservatorship of the person only, therefore the conservatorship terminated by operation of law upon the death of the conservatee. The clerk is instructed to close the file and vacate all future hearings.
