CASE NUMBER: 26PG-0033377 This matter is on calendar for further proceedings on a Petition for Appointment of Guardian of the Person. The Petition was filed by the minor’s non-relative caregiver, Allysa Barber. Letters of Temporary Guardianship were not requested.

A new Notice of Hearing has not been filed and served for today’s date. There is no proof of service of the Notice of Hearing and Petition for the minor, mother, father, maternal

grandparents, paternal grandparents, or sibling. Insufficient information has been provided to permit the Court to dispense with notice to these parties. The Court has reviewed the Children’s Services report filed on July 2, 2026, which recommends the Court deny the Petition. The report states that the minor is currently in the care of Margorita Martinez, that Ms. Martinez has petitioned for guardianship of the minor’s sister, and is in the process of filing for guardianship of Daviane. Additionally, the report indicates the minor is a member of the Pit River Tribe and the Tribe is supportive of placement with Ms. Martinez. Considering Petitioner’s failure to file and serve the documents necessary to move forward and the report from Children’s Services, the Petition is DENIED without prejudice. The clerk is directed to close the file. No appearance is necessary on today’s calendar.
