7. PR0000967 In the Matter of the Estate of Kent Thomas Edwards, Deceased No appearances are required. The Petition to Determine Ownership of Property and for Reimbursement of Preservation Expenses is denied. The Court notes that Petitioner has failed to cure the notice issues raised by the Court on April 10, 2026. Here, notice has not been properly provided to each person claiming an interest in the property. (See Cal. Prob. Code 851).
Additionally, the objection raised by the Nevada County Public Administrator is well taken. It appears this issue has been previously litigated in Placer County, where the Court denied a similar request. This Court need not review that decision.

Before the Court is a petition for appointment of a conservatorship, as well as a Petition for appointment of temporary conservatorship. The petition for temporary conservatorship seeks to change the proposed conservatee’s residence. Pursuant to Cal. Probate Code 2253, the Court seeks an update from the Court Investigator. Additionally, the Court seeks an update from Conservatee’s counsel on these requests.
