The Status Hearing re Settlement is CONTINUED TO JANUARY 13, 2027, AT 9:00 AM IN THIS DEPARTMENT.

The court already ordered dispersal to the State Controller of all funds remaining from all checks unpaid after the 180-day period. (See 7/17/2025 Order, para. 6.) The court, again, so orders and orders that the Settlement Administrator promptly and properly disperse the funds to the Controller consistent with paragraph 6 of the 7/17/2025 Order.

Plaintiff's counsel must file a declaration re disposition of settlement proceeds and any other outstanding issues that may be discussed at the hearing, with appropriate evidentiary support, no later than ten court days before the continued hearing, with courtesy copy provided to this department within 24 hours of filing. If all funds have not been accounted for and distributed by the date of the status report, all counsel shall appear in person at the January 13, 2027 hearing. If all funds have been accounted for and distributed by the date of the status report, at the same time as filing the declaration Plaintiff shall serve and lodge a proposed judgment. Plaintiff promptly to deliver to the department courtesy copies of everything filed, served and lodged in connection with the January 13 hearing. Plaintiff is ordered to prepare a proposed order consistent with the above and email it to contestdept302tr@sftc.org prior to the time set for hearing.

For the 9:00 a.m. calendar, all attorneys and parties may appear in Department 302 remotely or in person. Remote hearings will be conducted by videoconference using Zoom. (Dept. 302 Zoom ID 160 409 7690; Passcode 516287.) To appear remotely at the hearing, go to the court's website at sfsuperiorcourt.org under "Online Services," navigate to "Tentative Rulings," and click on the appropriate link, or dial the corresponding phone number.

Any party who contests a tentative ruling must send an email to contestdept302tr@sftc.org with a copy to all other parties by 4pm stating, without argument, the portion(s) of the tentative ruling that the party contests. The subject line of the email shall include the line number, case name and case number. The text of the email shall include the name and contact information, including email address, of the attorney or party who will appear at the hearing.

The court no longer provides a court reporter in the Law & Motion Department. Parties may retain their own reporter, who may appear in the courtroom or remotely. A retained reporter must be a California certified court reporter (CSR), for only a CSR's transcript may be used in California courts.
