Ruling

23CV037410: RAGOOBAR, et al. vs SUTTER HEALTH 07/06/2026 Hearing on Motion to Confirm Settlement filed by Ingrid Ragoobar (Plaintiff) CRS# 591274507438 in Department 19

Tentative Ruling - 07/02/2026 Joscelyn Jones

The Motion for Preliminary Approval of Settlement filed by Ingrid Ragoobar on 04/09/2026 is Granted.

Plaintiffs’ Motion for Preliminary Approval of Class Action and PAGA Settlement Agreement and Release is GRANTED.

The Court will sign the Revised (proposed) Order Granting Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement and PAGA Settlement Agreement lodged with the Court on June 25, 2026.

Plaintiffs are advised that, as part of their motion for final approval of class action and PAGA settlement, they will be expected to file a declaration from counsel setting forth the number of hours spent on this case and counsel’s claimed hourly rate, so that the Court can compare the requested fee award to the lodestar figure. The named Plaintiffs/class representatives should also file supplemental declarations stating or estimating how many hours they spent working on this case. Until the Court receives that information, the Court is unlikely to issue final approval of the proposed settlement.
