11. PR0000815 In Re Myrna Buettner Appearances are required regarding the petitions reporting the sale of the 10185 and 10121 Valley Drive properties and requesting approval of the same. Unless there is an overbid, the Court is inclined to find that all of the requirements of Probate Code section 10313 (a)(1)-(6) are satisfied, that requested agent/broker fees are appropriate under section 10313(b), and that the sales to the identified buyers for each property are confirmed. Petitioner shall submit a proposed order for each petition.
As for the petition to determine entitlements filed by April S. Mills, there is no notice or proof of service of notice as required by Probate Code section 11701. The Court continues this matter to September 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Department 6. Petitioner Mills shall provide notice and submit a proof of service prior to the continued court date.
12. PR0000910 In the Matter of Joan K. Confer No appearances are required. The petition for substituted judgment is continued on the Court’s motion to July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Counsel for Petitioner/Conservator and Conservatee shall each file a brief of no more than three pages in length addressing the question of whether notice must or should be given to Medi-Cal two weeks prior to the scheduled hearing. See Petition at 2:9-11, Probate Code § 2581(e). Petitioner shall give notice of the new hearing date as well.

16. PR0000982 In the Matter of Kay F. Baker No appearances are required. The Court hereby orders the parties to attend mediation, with costs of the same to be paid by the trust, pursuant to Probate Code section 17206 and Breslin v. Breslin (2021) 62 Cal. App.5th 801, 806 (“The probate court has the power to order the parties into mediation.”).

Mediation may result in a settlement of the matters that are the subject of this case and of any and all interested persons and parties interests therein. Settlement of the matter may result in an agreement for the distribution of assets of the above- referenced trust and of the estates of the settlors therein, however those assets may be held. Settlement of the matter may also result in an award of attorneys’ fees to one or more parties under Smith v. Szeyller (2019) 31 Cal.App.5th 450, 242. Interested persons or parties who do not have counsel may attend the mediation and participate.
Non-participating persons or parties who receive notice of the date, time and place of the mediation may be bound by the terms of any agreement reached at mediation without further action by the Court or further hearing. Rights of trust beneficiaries or prospective beneficiaries may be lost or forfeited by the failure to participate in mediation. Participation in mediation is a prerequisite to an evidentiary hearing. By failing to participate in mediation, a person or party will waive their right to an evidentiary hearing.
The Court continues this matter for review on the outcome of mediation to August 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Department 6, and continues to reserve jurisdiction over the pending motions. No later than two weeks prior to the continued hearing date, the parties shall submit a joint statement indicating the outcome of mediation.
