TENTATIVE RULING: The matter is CONTINUED to June 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Dept. 6 in light of the Court Investigator’s Report stating that the petitioner/proposed guardian has indicated she will not be ready to proceed with the guardianship until the end of May. Prior to the next hearing, petitioner is directed to meet with the Court Investigator to allow the Court Investigator to conduct a review and submit a report pursuant to Probate Code section 1513. In the interim, petitioner is further directed to cure the following deficiencies noted in the Court’s March 6, 2026 Minute Order:
1. There is no Proof of service or waiver on maternal grandmother Eloisa Velarde.
2. There is no Health and Human Services (HHS) report in the file. (Prob. Code §§ 1513, 1516, 1543.) The Court notes that an order to HHS (Local Form GU- 3) was signed on March 09, 2026. Petitioner is required to serve that order on HHS and file a Proof of Service with the Court.
3. There is no Parental Notification of Indian Status (ICWA-020 form) on file.
This is the second continuance of the matter. The clerk is directed to provide notice of the continued hearing to Petitioner.
