Request for Order - Child Custody/Visitation
Petitioner Ryan Andrew Aflague (Father) filed this parentage petition and a request for order (RFO) seeking custody orders on April 28, 2026. Respondent Daysia Skeye Ritchey (Mother) has not been served, but Mother filed a parentage action in Sacramento Superior Court on April 20, 2026 and served Father. Mother also filed a request for a domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) in Sacramento. On June 10, 2026, this Court held a reported video conference with Judge Rei Onishi of the Sacramento Superior Court pursuant to the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act; both parties were present remotely.
Judge Onishi heard the DVRO and granted a retraining order along with temporary custody orders and referred the matter to Family Court Services.
Under Family Code section 3422, the Sacramento Superior Court has exclusive continuing jurisdiction over custody issues having first issued custody orders.
Pursuant to Family Code section 3472(c), proceedings in this Court are STAYED. The matter is continued to July 28, 2026, for proof of service on Mother and for hearing on whether all proceedings should be held in Sacramento Superior Court and these proceedings dismissed without prejudice.
As authorized by CRC Rule 5.125, the Court shall prepare the formal Findings and Order After Hearing.
