The Housing Authority served a first set of written discovery as to which responses were due on October 14, 2025. (Castillo Decl., para. 4.) Plaintiffs waived objections by responding late, and eventually provided objection-free and complete responses on November 21, 2025. (Id., para. 9.) The Housing Authority served a second set of written discovery. (Id., para. 10.) After motion practice, this court ordered plaintiffs to respond in full without objections by February 12, 2026, and produce all responsive documents by February 19, 2026. (Minute Order, Jan. 22, 2026.) Plaintiffs have not yet complied with the court's order to respond and produce. (Castillo Decl., para. 19.)
Plaintiffs do not oppose the motion or contest the Housing Authority's evidentiary showing. The motion is granted in part. The court orders Plaintiffs to pay $1680 to Defendant. The court further orders Plaintiffs to comply with the court's order forthwith and cautions them that if they fail to comply with the court's discovery orders, they may be subject to further monetary sanctions, issue or evidentiary sanctions, or terminating sanctions.
For the 9:00 a.m. calendar, all attorneys and parties may appear in Department 301 remotely or in person. Remote hearings will be conducted by videoconference using Zoom.
