Case Type Civil Law & Motion Hearing Date / Time Mon, 06/15/2026 - 10:00 Nature of Proceedings Motion to Appoint Receiver Tentative Ruling On February 23, 2026, plaintiff Jophe Jones filed an application for an order appointing a receiver, and for a temporary restraining order in aid of the receiver, over the assets of defendant Four Jays Music Company (the application). In its opposition to the application, defendant asserts that this case is subject to mandatory dismissal pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 583.310.
Under the circumstances present here, the court will continue the hearing on plaintiff's application to August 24, 2026. If defendant, or any other party to this action, contends that this action is subject to mandatory dismissal, that party shall, on or before July 24, 2026, file and serve an appropriate noticed motion showing why this action is subject to mandatory dismissal. Any opposition to that motion must be filed and served on or before August 10, 2026, with any reply to be filed and served on or before August 17, 2026.
